All the setup is the same as local rendering, but you send it off to a ‘Render Farm’ which means you can still use your computer, It is much faster and the results come back in a higher quality. This is a far better way of rending unless you have a very powerful computer designed for rendering.

I did edit the colours of some of the material to suit my product better and this was also easy to do, you just make a copy of a material similar then change the colour in the material settings, there are also a whole load of other settings such as surface texture and how reflective it was but I didn’t need to use any of these. Fusion 360 has a good selection of materials as standard and gives the option to download more within the program, so I found it quite easy to find all the materials I needed then it’s a simple drag and drop onto the component of choice. For the beach and seaweed graphic I decided to draw it in photoshop which can then be applied in the same way as the other decals.

I did have some issues early on as I had the ‘chain faces’ setting applied which seemed to make the decal glitch through whatever material was selected and distort it. then you can apply them to whatever face you want. I had already made the instructions on illustrator, so it was simple to save them as a PNG. Decals as the name suggest are a way of putting an image on the cad model, I used this to add some graphics or the instructions.
